Abstract

In this paper, at first, simulation is introduced as the most commonly used scientific approach, and then its stages of
execution and some of its real applications are explained. The recent research work is concentrated on the self-automation of
the modelling process. Such softwares can be classified as: program generators, special systems and multi-purpose model
generators. Hence, the potentials of the softwares are reviewed and the future research on simulation is discussed.
