This article focuses on "reinventing government" and its historical roots, as a new paradigm of public sector reforms. It then continues to review different approaches to information age reform, while describing "Integration" as the one with the Illost porbability of success. In the liteature review, performance objectives of DSS from managers' view have been briet1y studied. Because of the specific cooperative nature of strategic decision process, Group Decision Support Systems (GDSS), as general
tools for Strategic Decjsion-making Support, are introduced and a
model of success factors of such systems is investigated. Then, the Organizational Decision Support Systems (ODSS), as the main strategic decision support tools, are discussed and the architecture of a typical ODSS is reviewed. Finally, a fraIllework for developing strategic decision support systems in government, based on "Integration" approach toward information age reform, is proposed.
