One of the most important affect the impact on competitiveness of firms is the best location. Many types of industrial center location models have been developed to find optimal location with respect to various location criteria such as cost, time, transportation, market, Labor and etc. In this paper we develop and test a location model that utilizes multi attribute decision making method (MADM) for solving location problems at the national level. This model have been developed for an aluminum factory. We define the criteria with respect to factory requirements, experts & managers considerations, factory location problems and special policies about industrial location in Iran. We believe that the presented model provides a rich approach for solving location problems in our country.
