Abstract

There is a tendency to focus on technological change and its effects on structure, decision - making, strategy and competitive advantage and to ignore its effects on specific work values that the workers bring to the organization. A comprehensive study of technological change must focus on these work values which emphasize human dignity, learning, inner growth, meaning, a moral compass, commitment, harmony and creative imagination
- some of the elements of the psychological contract at work. A model based on seven work values provide some new focal perspectives on the effects of technological change.
