Abstract

During the industrialism era and in particular, at the beginning of the second world war, mathematican scholars and practitioners were intersted in applying optimization models for Solving manufacturing and industry problems. After the second world war, application of these models were expanded in industry as well as service sector. This body of knowledge has been developed and improved and it can consequently be used to solve complex and large scope problems such as post transportation network. In this regards, this research intends to apply a multi- level model for solving problems of transportation information network of Post Corporation. First of all data of transportation network of the Post Corporation is loaded to the system. After calculating the unitily function, the system then finds the shortest path between two postal centers (i,j) and the appropriate amount (weight) of products is allocated to the selected paths.
After a review of the related literature, the history of postal transportation network is discussed:
Subsequently the results of applying the mathematical model are presented and further suggestions are offered.
