Abstract
Nowadays the most prominent indicator of success and progress in university is the efficiency of its faculty members. Since management in every organization is the most important source and has the key function for the improvement of efficiency, it is necessary that through planning in the administrative, educational and scientific fields, the heads of departments in universities try to create the appropriate environment the condition for faculty members in order to bring about higher level of efficiency in them. In this regards, the presented research was conducted to study the effect of the tasks of heads of educational department on the efficiency of faculty members in university of Isfahan. The descriptive- correlative method is made use for survey of this research subject. The finding of research showed that: 1) the tasks of the heads of educational departments affected the efficiency of faculty members. 2) There were no differences between faculty members point of views in respect to their demographic characteristics about the tasks of the heads of educational departments.
