Abstract

As the world moves rapidly towards Knowledge- based economy, stabilized institutions are formed in order to integrate the world economy by information technology which would provide access to world markets. Even though it is still early to define the effects of electronic business (in national and international levels) on development indexes of countries, there is a belief that countries can use these tools to affect on such parameters as productivity, competition priorities, better access to international markets, ect. It is clear that in order to reach such benefits, Muslim countries will need Pragmatic designs and also creating proper atmospheres for electronic business. In this respect, it is necessary to identify the criteria of electronic competence and to analyze it in these countries, so that the appropriate approach can be chosen for it.
This paper tries to identify the most important criteria of E -readiness evaluation so that it can serve as a basis for investigation on the current situation of member countries of OIC (Organization of Islamic Conferences).
