Increasing developments in Technology and especially in Information Technology, has caused many and extensive changes in distance Learning. The ease of presence in online courses and more flexibility of e-learning, are some of the factors that have been effective in spreading these lessons seriously. Although e-learning in Iran is a new method in educational technology, but universities’ effort is directed to present a suitable pattern for educational and cultural structure of the country in the field of e-learning.
In this study, the effort is made to present a suggestion for suitable organizational structure which could run a virtual university while using experiments of e-learning centers in the world and previous studies relied on organizational theories and available information in Iran and field information.
In this research, the characteristics of the virtual university were Searched and those duties which do these abilities and characteristics, were extracted and after classifying the types of duties and their nature, those jobs which can do duties and also finally the parts of each university and their corresponding duties and the jobs of each part were determined.
