In recent years, an extensive range of research work has been conducted on the decision-making sciences in our academic centers. Sad to say, the choice of appropriate decision-making techniques especially for multiple criteria decision-makings (such
as AHP, SAW, TOPSIS, ELECTRE and the like) lacks adequate precision and investigation.
The present article which focuses on a factual account of event, indicates that the choice of applied techniques, both at the stages of weightiness and decision-making, will have undeniable effect on the ranks earned. It also identifies what methods can be used to
lower the sensitivity of the problem and how the ratings earned can be compared.
