The present investigation expounds the views and decisions of a great figure in the management arena highly needed in the present world. The novelties in his action, which trascend the time and place as the Holdy Ouran does, arc informative and instructive for all free-thinkers
particularly his followers.
The present article explains some of the priorities and sensitivities of the wise leadership of Imam Ali that, after a quarter century of oppression, were established in the circumstances where the society was embroiled in factionalism as the Prophet Mohammad (SA) confronted at the outset of his mission.
Monotheism, divine worship, freedom, justice, right, equality, jihad, self-sacrifice, human dignity and ... did not have the same merit and significance as those of the Prophet's (SA) era. The spiritual values had degraded, and temporal desires had dominated in the society.
Imam Ali (SA) took up the reins of government to rule on the basis or the Qoranic precepts and prophetic practices to realize justice. If the governance did not lead to the administration and realization of justice,
it would be a tinker's cuss from the viewpoint of Imam Ali.
Imam Ali also demonstrated extreme sensitivity towards the pretection of public treasury compared with other wrongdoings. From his point of view, the recruitment of qualified managers and
practitioners and fair distribution or managerial positions were no less important than the fair distribution of goods and commodities.
In his value judgement system, Imam Ali even had a low tolerance for a manager (an Islamic local ruler) to sit at an extravagant course of
meal. He had held so firm a span of control over his terriotry that he took a judge to task over the purchase of a house during his tenure. Further, he did not conceal his sensitivity to the dignity of human beings and decried the persons who knelt in homage before him for he believed that such homage would result in their humiliation.
