Due to the ever increasing sophistication of technical knowledge, changes in the market and other factors, computers are used more frequenly by managers. Many managers have a tendency to purchase computers for their firms and organizations. For the purpose of aiding managers to choose a better computer system and thereby improve the efficiency of management, Mr. Irag Norawesh in "Recommendations to Managers Regarding Purchase of Computer Systems" proposes an eight stage process: diagnosing the organization's need for a computer system, outlining the work requirements
of this system, choosing a seller, evaluating software, evaluating hardware, choosing an appropriate system among proposed alternatives, setting up the system, and maintaining the system. In each of these stages it is possible that some problems to occur and these problems are described by the author.
