A Farsi translation of Vincent S. Flowers and Charles L. Hughes’ article on “Why Employees Stay” is provided by Mr . Mostafa Ghazizadeh. The article examines three major factors that contribute to employee retention, namely, incentives, medical, and environmental factors. If managers use positive reinforcements to retain the employees, and avoid negative schemes, they will be able to reduce employee
turnover and achieve other objectives of the human resource process.
The article classifies retention factors into internal and external measures. It explains these measures and discusses basic variables which cause retention or severance of the employees. The main premise of the authors is to create a balance between job satisfaction and environmental factors. This is explained in detail in the article.
