By analyzing the role of Islamic Rural councils in rapid growth in agricultural problem—solving and production, the article discusses principles to govern the transfer of agricultural research for rural economic development.
Special emphasis is recommended in coordination between research, training and extension in rural development and the transfer research out come across rural areas. Islamic rural councils are recognized as effective tools in such transformation.
