In recent years, the consumers’ enhanced awareness on one hand and the market’s competitiveness on the other hand, have steered the managers of entities to work towards quality betterment by using the quality management systems so as to capture more market segments on the basis of the customer satisfaction.
Moreover, by liberalizing the world trade and the interests shown by countries to join the World Trade Organzation , this belief has been built up in our country that the domestic industries should gain competitiveness with the corresponding foreign goods on an equal footing without governmental protection as soon as the tariff barriers have been overcome. In view of this fact, all manufacturers should, to all intents and purposes, move ahead towards quality improvement and production of higher quality goods. Thus we may summarize the goal of this article as follows:
1- to explain the various aspects of the quality management systems;
2- to identify the components of the quality management systems;
3- to appraise the impact of each component on the quality;
management systems in the Iranian firms and corporations
4- to measure the effects resulting from implementation of the
qualtiy managmenet systems of ISO 9000 and the model making
thereto.
In view of the actions taken by the Iranian companies to implement the standards prescribed by ISO 9000, ISO 14000, ISO-9000, ISO/15 169x9 and ..., this article aims to examine their track record by using the proposed model. All samples in question
here are based on presentation of some 150 9000 standards.
