The concept and phenomena of listening is
inevitably, consciously or unconsciously in their
daily encounter, hence it is necessary to
acquire more knowledge in order to have
effective utilization of this concept.
The art and skill of good listening will
utgrade the quality of our communication with
our coworkers and other organization
members and enables us to catch the
attention, sympathy, affection, empathy and
intellectual cooperation of others. This will
lead to greater degree of achievement and
productivity.

In this article, for the better understanding
of the matter, three main subject of,
differences between hearing and listening, the
process of hearing and listening, the styles of
effective listening have been analyzed.
The other kinds of listening such as casual
listening and effective or active listening along
with empathic listening have been scrutinized
as well.
