In this paper, informatics technology,
specifically as related to the situation of the
developing countries, is considered. The role
and importance of information technology in
the world development, and hence, in the
development of the developing countries, is
studid and its various aspects are analyzed.
The informatics policies in the developing
countries, their various dimensions and
parameters, the goals and plans are
investigated. The technical issues, as far as the
developing countries are concerned , the
requirements and, finally the research in
informatics, its goals and structure are
reviewed.
