Our second article deals with II AppliedResearch " ,
by dr. hasan mirazi ahranjani ,
chairman of our public administration departemant . this is part II of his article. The first part appeared in our
Summer editation . dr . mirzai explains the special boundary of research –the task of confining research variable into an area
Where they can be distinguished from the
non-relevant variables (outside the boundary
of research) and be easily selected for
measurement and analysis. The term "spatial
boundary" should not be confused with a geographical location .
Rather, it refers to an
area where desired variables can 'be assembled
and retrieved for computation.
The inext step in applied research is to "confine
the subject Of research into a specific field
where the characteristics of interest within
the relevant variables can be delineated.
Is a difficult task since in business as well as in
the humanities , most subject matters are
interwonen among various disciplines, and
their delineation requires comprehensive
knowledge of the field , In short determining
subject areas for resarch requires adherence to five principles.
1. determining the level of analysis.
2. Identifying the focal point of the analysis.
3. Gathering the infoiniation base
4. Obtaining statistical samples, 5. Identifying
the unit of analysis,
