Management", Igore Ansoff classifies decisions
as operational, administrative, and strategic.
G.Mosich .provides another classification that
includes strategic, practical, mechanistic and
administrative decisions Basically-there are
two types of decisions, strategic and tactical.
Each type has its own attributes and making
each type requires special capabilities. Tactical
decisions requires techincal and analytical
expertise. Strategic decisions, on the other
hand, demands conceptual capabilities and a
rich experience. The author has also discussed
the process of decision-making in
organizations. Serial and parallel processes
have received particular attention.
